Cycle 6 Self-Review Workshops 

AQA piloted a Cycle 6 Self-Review workshop in Wellington in June 2019. this was followed by two more workshops in Auckland and Dunedin at the start of 2020. The workshops were positivly recieved by university staff in the lead up to their self-review reports.

Academic Integrity Workshops

The Academic Quality Agency for New Zealand universities, Universities New Zealand and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, in conjunction with the Australian Government Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, delivered two Academic Integrity workshops in Auckland and Christchurch on the 4th and 5th February 2020.

Student Voice Summits

The fourth annual Student Voice Summit, jointly hosted by NZUSA, Te Mana Ākonga, Tauira Pasifika, the New Zealand International Students’ Association and AQA was held on 14 November 2019. Information about this event is available here.

Quality Forums

AQA held a Quality Forum on 31st October 2019. The Forum was a series of discussions on current topics in academic quality. While the topics were all relevant for Cycle 6 academic audit, the focus of the discussions was examining the state of knowledge (current research and best practice) and implications for academic quality. 
AQA held a Quality Forum on 3rd October 2018.  The Forum discussed academic integrity, assessment, graduate profiles and graduate outcomes, contract and sessional teaching and facilitating and supporting organisational change.  A summary of the day is available here.

 

AQA's 25th Anniversary

The Academic Quality Agency for New Zealand Universities (AQA) celebrated its 25th Anniversary in November 2018.

Support for Quality

AQA’s ‘Support for Quality’ Conference was held annually from 2013 to 2017. Each year, the Conference included presentations and discussion sessions spanning a wide range of topics under an overarching theme of academic quality.

AQA’s Support for Quality conference was held on Thursday 13 October, 2016 at Te Wharewake o Pōneke on the Wellington waterfront.  

2015 conference

The AQA 2015 Support for Quality Conference was held on Thursday 1 October 2015. The venue for this event was the Royal Society of New Zealand, 11 Turnbull Street, Thorndon, Wellington. 

2014 conference

The AQA 2014 Support for Quality Conference was held on Wednesday 10 September 2014. The venue for this event was the Royal Society of New Zealand, 11 Turnbull Street, Thorndon, Wellington.
